titleOfInvention Implants for wear engagement with spherical wear partners
abstract The present invention describes an implant for wear bonds in endovascular prostheses, the implant having a hemispherical wear area for receiving a spherical wear partner formed on the outside, and on the inside, and on the inside with an outside surface. The aim of the invention is to reduce the height of the implant as much as possible, and to ensure that, for example, the pelvic bone does not need to be sharpened much. Therefore, according to the present invention, the implant is designed in the form of a ring or annular structure, and the outer surface enables direct implantation into the body. In order to reduce the friction between the spherical wear partner and the implant to a minimum, the implant has a specially designed internal geometry.
