Peptides from marine resources capable of silica formation and use thereof |
abstract |
The present invention relates to marine-derived silica synthetic peptides and uses thereof. The novel marine-derived peptide according to the present invention has excellent silica synthesis activity from silicic acid, and can be used in the manufacture of a composite bone graft material in which silica and collagen are laminated. The composite bone graft material has an improved carrying capacity of biomolecules compared to the conventional graft material, and has an effect of continuously releasing the supported molecule, and thus has an excellent effect of promoting bone regeneration when transplanted to a damaged bone site. Therefore, the peptide according to the present invention can be usefully utilized in the fields related to silica synthesis and bone graft. |
