abstract The present invention relates to a polyurethane nanocomposite having shape memory performance, and more particularly, to a polycaprolactone (PCL)-based polyurethane nanocomposite with chitosan added and a method of manufacturing the same. The polyurethane nanocomposite according to the present invention has the effect of improving the maximum tensile strength, elongation at break, shape fixation ratio, and shape recovery ratio compared to before addition of chitosan. In addition, the method for preparing a polyurethane nanocomposite according to the present invention has an effect of producing a PCL-based biodegradable polyurethane nanocomposite having both mechanical performance and shape memory performance enhanced by the addition of nano chitosan.
