The present invention provides an antimicrobial peptide consisting of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 10, a method for discovering the same, and an antimicrobial pharmaceutical composition comprising the same, a food preservative, a feed additive, and a cosmetic additive. The PR-35 antimicrobial peptide derived from the natural variant of the pig gene of the present invention and a pharmaceutical composition comprising the same have lower cytotoxicity than the conventional PR-39 peptide and have excellent antibacterial activity against Gram-negative bacteria for multi-drug resistance in the medical and pharmaceutical fields. It can be useful as an alternative antibiotic. |
