abstract | The present invention relates to a continuous process for preparing an aliphatic polyester composed of an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid and an aliphatic diol, the method comprising a) an esterification step, b) a polycondensation step and optionally c) a chain extension step. And during the step b) in which the polycondensate functions as the degassing device (B) and/or in the further degassing device (B') after polycondensation, the degassing device (B and/or B') as an entraining agent. It is characterized by degassing the crude polyester at a pressure of 0.01 to 5 mbar in the presence of 1% to 7% by weight of water, based on the total weight of the crude polyester, introduced into the gas space. |
