The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition for skin whitening or a composition for preventing browning of foods, including thistle extract, a fraction thereof, and thistle-derived luteolin or luteolin 5- O -glucoside, wherein the composition has inhibitory activity against tyrosinase As it has the effect of preventing skin whitening as well as the browning of food, it can be usefully used in the cosmetics and food fields. |
