Water-based concentrated product form of oil-soluble organic UV absorbers |
abstract |
An aqueous polymer dispersion having an average particle size of less than 1000 nm is provided, comprising: a) a polymer carrier prepared by heterophasic radical polymerization of at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer in the presence of b) below; b) p-aminobenzoic acid derivatives; Salicylic acid derivatives; Benzophenone derivatives; Diphenyl acrylate derivatives; Benzofuran derivatives; Polymeric UV absorbers comprising one or more organosilicon radicals; Cinnamic acid derivatives; Camphor derivatives; s-triazine derivatives; Trianilino-s-triazine derivatives; Menthyl anthranilate; And oil-soluble organic UV absorbers selected from the class of benzotriazole derivatives; Wherein the weight ratio of oil-soluble organic UV absorber (b) to polymer carrier (a) is greater than 50 parts of UV absorber per 100 parts of carrier; And c) Surfactants selected from: c 1 ) Nonionic surfactant selected from: c 11 ) C 6 to C 18 fatty alcohols or condensation products of C 6 to C 18 fatty acids and mono- or disaccharides; And c 2 ) anionic surfactant selected from: c 21 ) sulfosuccinate and sulfosuccinate; c 22 ) fatty alcoholates; And c 23 ) a mixture of phosphoric acid esters and fatty alcohols having 6 to 18, preferably 8 to 10 carbon atoms. The aqueous polymer dispersion exhibits an unexpectedly high sunscreen effect and a positive skin feel. They have excellent pollen protection, dust protection and antioxidant performance in sunscreen compositions. |
