The present invention, (a) the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 11 or 12; (b) a fragment of SEQ ID NO: 11 or 12 capable of binding an anti-Rep antibody specific for a protein having the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 11 or 12; Or (c) an amino acid sequence capable of binding to an anti-Rep antibody specific for a protein having at least 90% homology with the amino acid sequence of (a) or (b) and having an amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 11 or 12 To DNA-replication related (Rep) proteins. The invention also relates to methods of diagnosing MS or MS predisposition and kits for use in such methods. |
