abstract The present invention relates to a composition for inhibiting colorectal cancer stem cell growth comprising a novel extract of lichen endothelial fungus as an active ingredient, and a novel lichen endogenous fungus EL001672 (KACC 83021BP) extract isolated from Setraria lichens. Inhibits expression of colorectal cancer stem cell markers ALDH-1, CD133, CD44, Lgr-5 and Msi-1, induces the death of colorectal cancer stem cells, autologous regeneration of colorectal cancer stem cells and differentiation into cancer cells Since it shows the effect of inhibiting the tumor stem cells can be usefully used as an active ingredient of the composition for inhibiting growth.
