abstract The present invention provides a purpyrazine derivative which is a novel organic compound. It is an organic compound which has a puropyrazine skeleton and is represented by following General formula (G1). In General Formula (G1), Q represents oxygen or sulfur. In addition, Ar 1 represents a substituted or unsubstituted condensed aromatic ring. R 1 and R 2 each independently represent a hydrogen or a group having 1 to 100 carbon atoms, and at least one of R 1 and R 2 has a hole transport skeleton.
