abstract |
Disclosed are chimeric polypeptides based on viral membrane fusion proteins. More specifically, the present invention discloses chimeric polypeptides comprising a virion surface exposed portion of a viral fusion protein and a heterologous structure stabilizing moiety, and a complex of these chimeric polypeptides. The present invention also discloses the use of the complexes in compositions and methods for eliciting an immune response against a fusion protein or complex of the envelope bearing virus and / or for the treatment or prevention of an envelope bearing virus infection. The present invention also discloses the use of heterostructure stabilizing moieties for oligomerizing heterologous molecules of interest. |
