Some embodiments relate to herbicide compositions and methods of inducing plant toxicity in such plants by administering an aqueous composition to a leaf portion of the plant. The aqueous composition comprises one or more nutrients, and one or more excipients, and the pH is about 4 to about 7. In some embodiments, the aqueous composition comprises an organic acid or an inorganic acid. In some embodiments, the phytotoxicity is local. In some embodiments, the plant toxicity is systemic. Without being limited by theory, the nutrient is absorbed in excess in the plant, killing the plant. |
