titleOfInvention | Pharmaceutical delivery devices |
abstract | The medication delivery device 100 (300; 400) includes a chassis 124, which is a drive element 166 for driving the stopper 22 to discharge the medication through the cannula 144. The carrier 126 is arranged to move relative to the chassis 124. Insertion means 130, 202 bias the carrier 126 in the insertion direction. The control unit 132 is biased to rotate relative to the carrier 126. The locking element 176 prevents rotation of the control unit 132 in the initial state. The locking element 176 is coupled to the drive element 166 such that the drive element 166 is released for rotation when the drive element 166 reaches the operating position during the delivery stroke. Rotation of the controller 132 through the predetermined angle separates the inserting means 130, 202 from the carrier 126 so that the carrier 126 moves in the retracting direction after the end of the delivery stroke. |
