A process for preparing a solid cosmetic formulation, the method comprising: melting a wax phase containing at least one wax, at least one oil, and, where possible, an oil-soluble component and a solvent, and forming the melted wax phase into an emulsion Until mixed with an aqueous phase and a water-in-oil emulsification system containing at least one water-soluble or water-dispersible film former, and allowing the resulting emulsion to cool so that the droplets of the aqueous phase contain the wax matrix embedded therein. Processes for forming the same, products made from the process, and uses thereof are disclosed. |
