abstract |
A method of producing a carboxylic acid compound from seawater is disclosed. The method includes mixing the seawater and a predetermined amount of sugar to prepare a carboxylic acid compound for a time sufficient for the decomposition action of the sugar to occur. Solutions containing carboxylic acid compounds can be electrolyzed to produce hydrogen. |
