Methods for detecting nucleic acid sequence variants |
abstract |
The present invention provides a method for detecting the presence or absence of nucleic acid variants in a target region. These methods include amplifying the target region with forward primers and reverse primers in the presence of selector blockers. The selector blocker comprises a sequence complementary to the target region in the absence of the nucleic acid variant. The method further comprises detecting the amplification of the target region, wherein the amplification of the target region indicates the presence of the nucleic acid variant in the target region. Such nucleic acid variants may include deletions, mutations or insertions. |
