abstract | The present invention relates to the production of alpha olefins, and more particularly, to a process for preparing alpha olefins comprising a transition metal or transition metal precursor suitable for the preparation of alpha olefins of the new structure, a ligand having a skeletal structure represented by the following formula (1) Alpha olefin. [Chemical Formula 1] R 1 -S (= O) -YS (= O) -R 2 Wherein R 1 and R 2 are independently hydrocarbyl, substituted hydrocarbyl, heterohydrocarbyl, or substituted heterohydrocarbyl, and Y is a group connecting S (= O). The catalyst system according to the present invention is excellent in catalytic activity and has a large distribution of C8 " - C18 " alpha olefins among the distribution of produced alpha olefins. |
