And an object of the present invention is to provide a method for producing oligosilane capable of more efficiently producing desired oligosilane. A process for producing an oligosilane comprising a hydrosilane-containing fluid is introduced into a continuous reactor having a catalyst layer therein to produce oligosilane from hydrosilane and a fluid containing oligosilane is discharged from the reactor , The objective oligosilane can be more efficiently produced by satisfying all the conditions (i) to (iii) below in the reaction step. (i) the temperature at the inlet of the catalyst layer of the hydrosilane-containing fluid is higher than the temperature at the outlet of the catalyst layer of the fluid containing the oligosilane. (ii) the temperature at the inlet of the catalyst layer of the fluid containing hydrosilane is 200 to 400 ° C.
