The rotary connector device 1 is provided with a flat cable 13 accommodated in an annular space S1 between the stator 11 and the rotor 12. [ The flat cable 13 is provided with a return portion 13a that is curved and inverted at an intermediate portion in the longitudinal direction of the flat cable in the annular space S1. The flat cable 13 is rolled or rewound while maintaining the bend in the return portion 13a when the rotor 12 rotates clockwise or counterclockwise. The flat cable 13 satisfies Y? 14.175X 2 -249.35X + 1406.9 when the bending radius is X (mm) and the 0.2% proof stress is Y (MPa) in the range of bending radius of 4 mm to 8 mm And the conductivity is 50% IACS or more.
