abstract |
The present invention relates to a liquid crystal aligning agent for optical alignment containing a polymer having a structural unit containing a photosensitive group represented by the following formula (1). With the liquid crystal aligning agent of the present invention, it is possible to form a liquid crystal alignment film exhibiting high liquid crystal alignability and having a high transmittance. The present invention also provides a novel photosensitive diamine serving as a raw material for the polymer used as the liquid crystal aligning agent for photo-alignment. In the formula (1), R 1 and R 2 are independently hydrogen or alkyl having 1 to 10 carbon atoms, and the bonded hands in which the bonding position is not fixed to any one of the carbon atoms constituting the ring, The bonding position is arbitrary, and the hydrogen of the benzene ring may be substituted with a substituent. |
