titleOfInvention | Beta-hairpin peptide mimetics with elastase inhibitory activity and their aerosol dosage forms |
abstract | The invention has the inhibitory activity to human neutrophil elastase (neutrophil elastase), the formula cyclo (-OctG-Glu-Thr-Ala -Ser-Ile-Pro-Pro-Gln-Lys-Tyr- D Pro-Pro - >) peptidomimetic, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. The present invention further relates to solid or liquid pharmaceutical compositions, and kits for the manufacture and administration of such aerosols. The present invention also relates to a pharmaceutical composition for the treatment of pulmonary diseases mediated by or caused by human neutrophil elastase activity such as alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency (AATD), cystic fibrosis (CF), non-cystic fibrosis bronchiectasis (NCFB) , Or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), or lung infection or disease, or condition. Thus, the present invention also relates to the use of an active compound: cyclo (-OctG-Glu-Glu-Glu-Glu-Glu- Thr-Ala-Ser-Ile-Pro-Pro-Gln-Lys-Tyr- D Pro-Pro-) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. |
