abstract |
The present invention relates to a process for preparing a formulation comprising an alkali metal salt selected from the group consisting of an alkali metal bicarbonate salt, an alkali metal carbonate salt, an alkali metal sesquacarbonate salt and combinations thereof, a) dissolving a functionalizing agent in the solvent; (b) mixing the alkali metal salt with a solution comprising a functionalizing agent to form a paste-like composition; (c) extruding the paste-like composition to obtain filaments or granules; (d) at least partially removing the solvent from the filaments or granules. The present invention further relates to the use of powders, filaments and granules in various applications such as in powder, filament and granules obtainable from said process, and in plastic foaming or food and feed leavening compositions. |
