titleOfInvention Packing material for coil embolization, apparatus and method for manufacturing the same
abstract The present invention provides a novel filling material for coil embolization, which can exhibit a high blood flow blocking effect even in a small amount due to its excellent filling density, an apparatus for manufacturing the same, and a manufacturing method thereof. The filling material for coil embolization according to the present invention is a filling material for coil embolization used in coil embolization. The filling material for coil embolization comprises a metal wire of a size that can be inserted into an artery of a human body and a metal wire which is composed of a plurality of polymer nanofibers, Polymer nanofiber mat. The filling material for coil embolization according to the present invention can attain a high filling density in a small amount when injecting and filling into the cerebral aneurysm. Therefore, the filling density is superior to that of the conventional metal coil, and a high blood flow blocking effect can be exhibited even in a small amount.
