The present invention relates to a method of immobilizing a biomolecule containing at least one sulfhydryl group, wherein the immobilization method comprises contacting the modified metal surface with the biomolecule and irradiating the resultant surface with UV radiation in the presence of a photoinitiator Wherein the metal surface is modified by a cross-linker compound comprising a spacer group having a terminal thiol or dithiol group covalently bonded to the metal surface and a double or triple bond isolated at the other end. |
