titleOfInvention A connector system for detachably connecting a fluid conduit
abstract A connector system for detachably connecting a tube, e.g., a medical tube, and a method of forming and using such a connector system, is described herein, which includes a female coupler having a first passageway, A male coupler having a second passageway, a catch movably coupled to the female coupler, and a catch-receiving element coupled to the male coupler. The connector system further includes a release element movably coupled to the female coupler such that when the release element is moved along the female coupler outer surface of the male coupler or on the female coupler outer surface, the catch is detached from the catch- A separate state of the system is implemented. Also disclosed herein is a connector system embodiment for detachably connecting a tube, wherein the connector system includes at least one valve biased by a valve-biasing member arranged outside the fluid flow path.
