Surface treated polymer particles dispersed in an aqueous solution or water without the aid of any surfactant. The surface treatment of the hydrophobic polymer particles is carried out in order to increase the surface energy and make the surface of the particles hydrophilic so that no surfactant is required to disperse the polymer particles in water or aqueous solution. Thus, the non-surfactant slurry can be prepared from surface-treated particles for fabricating a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic composite structure. |
