abstract |
A system and method for creating a planar cut on a bone using one or more cut guides assembled to the plurality of bone pins is disclosed, wherein the bone pins are disposed on the bone to conform to one or more virtual pin planes defined for the one or more planar cuts. . An alignment guide that assists in creating a pilot hole for receiving the cutting block in the desired position and direction (POSe) is also disclosed herein. The articulating surgical device actively places the bone pins in alignment with the virtual plane so that the cutting guides when aligned with the pins can align one or more guide slots with the desired POSe to create a planar cut. |
