abstract |
The present invention discloses a tribologically modified polyoxymethylene polymer composition. The polyoxymethylene polymer composition comprises a polyoxymethylene polymer and at least one tribological engineering modifier. The tribological modifier may comprise ultra-high molecular weight silicon having a kinematic viscosity of at least 100,000 mm < 2 > s < -1 >. The composition of the present invention exhibits an extremely low dynamic friction coefficient when tested against itself and does not generate any appreciable noise at temperatures in the very wide temperature range, for example in the range of -20 ° C to 60 ° C. |
