Novel fetal markers for prenatal diagnosis and monitoring |
abstract |
The present invention provides the use of novel fetal markers for prenatal diagnosis and monitoring of some pregnancy related diseases. More specifically, the invention is based on the discovery that some CpG islands located on the chromosome 21 of the fetus exhibit a different methylation profile than the corresponding CpG islands located on chromosome 21 of the host. The present invention also provides a kit for diagnosing and monitoring associated diseases. |
