Polyester composition and bottle for carbonated pasteurized products |
abstract |
The present invention relates to a polyester composition useful for making a container that minimizes the effect of secondary contaminants during charging. More particularly, the present invention relates to a process for the preparation of a composition comprising one or more oxygen scavenging components that limit oxygen uptake to about 1 ppm or less upon measurement after six months of charging, and one or more passive components To a polyester bottle for use in filling a carbonated pasteurized product. The present invention also relates to a method of using polyester bottles to minimize the growth of secondary contaminants within a carbonated pasteurized product. |
