abstract Designs, strategies and methods for forming tubular batteries are described. In some instances, hermetic seals can be used to seal battery chemistries in tubular batteries. This can improve the biocompatibility of the power supply elements. In some instances, tubular biocompatible power supply elements can be used in biomedical devices. In some additional examples, tubular biocompatible power supply elements may be used in contact lenses.
