abstract |
The present invention discloses a method of using a fully biodegradable probiotic composition and a green tanning agent as a leather tanning aid to reduce waste and increase the value of byproducts to reduce the use of synthetic chemicals and improve the quality of the effluent. Probiotics or useful microorganisms are used to obtain biochemicals by fermenting natural ingredients in a controlled manner. The result of this process is a combination of metabolites used with probiotic bacteria and the products have very similar characteristics to traditional leather adjuvants widely used in leather manufacturing processes such as wetting agents, dispersants, degreasing agents and solubilizers. Thus, these products have clear utility for wet-end and finish as well as for beam house operation. |
