Compositions and methods related to or derived from an anti-JAG1 antibody are disclosed. More specifically, there is disclosed a JAG1-binding polypeptide comprising a fully human antibody, a JAG1-antibody binding fragment, a derivative of said antibody, and said fragment that binds to JAG1. Furthermore, there is further provided a nucleic acid encoding said antibody, antibody fragment and derivative and polypeptide, a cell comprising said polynucleotide, a method of producing said antibody, antibody fragments and derivatives and polypeptides, and a method of producing a JAG1-related disorder or condition Methods of using the antibodies, antibody fragments and derivatives and polypeptides, including methods of treating or diagnosing a subject, are disclosed. Also provided is a kit for the treatment of JAG1-expressing tumors, including hepatocellular carcinomas and squamous cell carcinomas, as well as selected non-small cell lung carcinomas selected from the group consisting of rheumatoid arthritis, experimental lung injury, atherosclerosis, chronic liver disease induced by hepatitis C virus, A method of treating a tumor disease is also disclosed. |
