titleOfInvention Method for reduction of hexavalent chromium using freezing
abstract The present invention relates to a method for the oxidation of trivalent arsenic by freezing in the presence of hydrogen peroxide (H 2 O 2 ). The present invention also relates to a method for purifying trivalent arsenic from contaminated soil, contaminated water, wastewater or waste by using the above oxidation method. The method for oxidizing trivalent arsenic according to the present invention is carried out in a freeze state in the presence of hydrogen peroxide (H 2 O 2 ), so that trivalent arsenic can be oxidized to pentavalent arsenic in an environmentally friendly and economical manner. Further, by using the above-described oxidation method, it is possible to remove the trivalent arsenic easily and quickly from contaminated soil, polluted water, wastewater or waste.
