abstract The present invention relates to an improved system and method for the large scale production of nanoparticles for use in the delivery of therapeutic agents. The device may be used to produce a wide variety of nanoparticles containing therapeutic substances including but not limited to lipid nanoparticles and polymeric nanoparticles. In certain embodiments, continuous flow operation and parallelization of the microfluidic mixers contribute to increased nanoparticle production volume.
