abstract The present invention relates to a composition for inhibiting or improving the cytotoxic side effect induced by a calcineurin inhibitor comprising coenzyme Q10 or a derivative thereof, and more particularly to a composition for inhibiting or improving coenzyme Q10 or coenzyme Q10 And a composition for inhibiting or ameliorating the side effects of fibrosis or apoptosis induced by tacrolimus or cyclosporin containing a derivative as an active ingredient. The composition according to the present invention can be usefully used to develop drugs that prevent or alleviate cytotoxicity in the kidney caused by side effects of calcineurin inhibitors, particularly tacrolimus.
