titleOfInvention | Improved fabric treatment method for stain release |
abstract | And at least one zeta potential modifier, a fluoropolymer, and a hydrophobic agent having a melting point or glass transition temperature of 100 DEG C or lower, and having improved tactility and dirt resistance, oil repellency, water repellency, flexibility, wrinkle and damage resistance, A fabric treatment composition is provided for imparting the same fabric protection benefits to the fabric. The fabric treatment composition can be used as pretreatment prior to cleaning, through immersion, or to the treatment liquid, i.e., to the washing or cleaning cycle of an automatic washer, to first provide the fabric protection benefits imparted to the fabric, With the proviso that an intermediate cleaning step, which is essentially free of added surfactants, is used after the cleaning cycle and before the fabric treatment step. Following the use of the first treatment composition, the protective benefit is maintained and renewed by means of a second treatment operation using the second treatment composition. The second treating composition can provide economical and periodic maintenance of the fabric protection benefits imparted by having lower activity levels of the protective agent. |
