abstract | A liquid crystal aligning agent for liquid crystal display devices, which is excellent in stability of liquid crystal alignment, has a short afterglow erase time, hardly causes rubbing scratches, and has little change in flicker immediately after driving. A specific polymer (A) having at least one selected from the group consisting of a polyimide precursor obtained by reacting a diamine-containing diamine component represented by the formula (1) with a tetracarboxylic acid component, and a polyimide obtained by imidizing it, (B) which is a polyamic acid obtained by reacting a diamine component (excluding the diamine represented by the formula (1)) with a tetracarboxylic acid component. ( 2) : wherein R 1 and R 2 are each independently a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms or a group represented by the following formula (2), and at least one of them is a group represented by formula (2) , A is a single bond or a divalent group which is a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms.) |
