The display panel driving apparatus includes a data driver, a comparator, a data signal controller, and a gate driver. The data driver generates a dummy data signal based on the dummy image data, outputs the dummy data signal to the dummy data line of the display panel, generates a data signal based on the image data, and outputs the data signal to the data line of the display panel . The comparison unit outputs a comparison signal indicating the degree of delay of the delayed dummy data signal with respect to the dummy data signal based on the delayed dummy data signal and the dummy data signal generated by the loading of the dummy data line. The data signal control unit controls the data signal based on the comparison signal. The gate driver outputs a gate signal to the gate line of the display panel. Therefore, the display quality of the display device can be improved. |
