abstract |
In the method for producing an aerogel, an acid is added to an alkaline aqueous solution of a high molar ratio of a first silicate containing silica particles having an average particle diameter of not less than 1 nm and not more than 10 nm to produce a gel. This gel is dehydrated and condensed to obtain a hydrogel. This hydrogel is made into a hydrophobic gel. Then, the hydrophobic gel is dried. By this method, an aerogel having a pore volume of 3.00 cc / g or more and 10 cc / g or less, an average pore diameter of 10 nm or more and 68 nm or less, and a specific surface area of 200 m 2 / g or more and 475 m 2 / g or less can be prepared. |
