The present invention relates to a catalyst of a cathode for a water electrolyzing device and a method for preparing the same and, more specifically, to a catalyst of a cathode for a water electrolyzing device having high activity and stability compared to an existing transition metal phosphide catalyst, and a method for preparing the same.
