abstract The present invention relates to a bacteriophage Shi-DYP-1 (Accession No. KCTC 12857BP) isolated from nature having broad spectrum antimicrobial activity against dicotyledonous bacteria, more specifically, capable of specifically killing heterologous bacteria, A bacteriophage Shi-DYP having a DNA genome of about 100 kb and also having major structural proteins of about 53.7 kDa, 69.9 kDa, 86.6 kDa, and 95.6 kDa in size and morphologically belonging to Myoviridae -1 as an active ingredient, and a method for preventing and treating infection of a foreign body using the composition.
