titleOfInvention | Novel deoxycholate-linked amphiphiles and uses thereof |
abstract | The present invention relates to deoxycholate-based amphiphiles, a manufacturing method thereof, and a method for extracting, solubilizing, stabilizing, crystallizing or analyzing membrane protein using the same. When using the deoxycholate-based amphiphiles, according to the present invention, it is expected that the membrane protein can be stably stored in an aqueous solution for a long period of time, and a small membrane protein-micelle complex is formed to have an excellent membrane protein crystallization effect, thereby being utilized for functional and structural analysis. Membrane protein structure and function analysis is one of the most interested areas in current biology and chemistry, and more than half of new drugs currently being developed target the membrane protein, thereby being applied to membrane protein structure studies closely related to the development of the new drugs. |
