titleOfInvention The method for analysis of Chemical Oxygen Demand
abstract The present invention relates to a method for measuring a chemical oxygen demand amount, in which a structure is improved. A voltage generated in an electrode oxidation potential step during a sewage sample suitability test is measured, and a termination point is indicated. Thus, a generated electrical signal is converted into and displayed as a COD content value to be remotely monitored in a remote place. The method according to the present invention comprises: a sample feeding step of feeding a sample and diluted water to a reactor; an oxidation reactor feeding step of feeding a catalytic agent and an oxidizing agent to the sample mixed with the diluted water; a heating step of heating the sample in the reactor; a reducing agent feeding step of feeding a reducing agent to the reactor; a chemical agent feeding step of inducing the suitability of the sample by feeding a colorimetric chemical agent into the reactor by using a quantifying pump; an estimating step of measuring a potential between a platinum electrode and a copper alloy electrode which are generated during the oxidation of the platinum electrode and the copper alloy electrode by applying an electrical current to an electrode disposed in the reactor, and estimating a chemical agent feeding amount until the measured potential reaches a standard voltage; and a detecting and displaying step of comparing and calculating a chemical oxygen demand amount compared to a pre-digitized chemical agent feeding amount on the basis of the calculated chemical agent feeding amount, and detecting a chemical oxygen demand amount of the sample.
