abstract |
A livestock manure advanced treatment system utilizing microalgae is disclosed. The disclosed advanced treatment system includes a raw water reservoir for receiving treated water from an anaerobic digestion tank of a livestock manure treatment facility; A solid-liquid separation facility connected to the raw water storage tank for receiving treated water to perform solid-liquid separation; A DAF which is connected to the solid-liquid separation facility, receives the treated water and injects a flocculant to float the flocs reacted with the sludge and the chemicals, removes the raised particles and discharges the treated water; An ozone treatment facility connected to the DAF to receive treated water to remove the decomposable organic matter and chromaticity by ozone having a small bubble size to discharge treated water; A PBR which is connected to the ozone treatment facility and receives treated water to supply nutrients, sunlight, and carbon dioxide to the microbial growth and remove residual contaminants from the treated water; And a concentrating facility for concentrating and separating the treated water and the microalgae from the PBR, and the concentrated water is used for extracting lipids to produce biodiesel and for discharging the filtered water. |
