titleOfInvention Method for heating perm minimize the hair damage
abstract Provided is a method of performing steamed perm in which a cysteine bond and an ionic bond are cut to the minimum extent by using a reducing agent having concentration lower than hydroxide ion concentration of a first perm agent having concentration optimized in dealing with hair damage. A hydrogen bond of the hair is cut using water and heat to shape hair. Then, the hair is dried and the hair damage is minimized using a small amount of an oxidizing agent, thereby forming a desired curl. The method of performing the steamed perm to minimize the hair damage is significantly useful to perform a perm procedure by using a plurality of first perm agents having hydrogen ionic concentrations corresponding to the degree of the hair damage. According to the present invention, the method of performing the steamed perm includes a hair softening step of determining a damage degree of hair, applying a first perm agent having a pH concentration, which corresponds to the determined damage degree of the hair among a plurality of first perm agents corresponding to the determined hair damage and a reducing agent having a lower concentration to the hair, and cutting a chemical bond of the hair to the minimum extent to soften the hair. The softened hair is cleaned and dried by using towel such that water is not dropped from the hair. A curling step is performed to apply cutting water to the hair and to perform heat treatment for the hair wound around the hair rod such that the hair is shaped in a specific shape. An oxidation step is performed to apply a second agent to the shaped hair and to perform oxidation treatment for the hair such that chemical bonds of the hair are recombined with each other. Chemical damage of the hair is prevented by increasing the cutting number of protein bonds of the hair by the water and heat rather than the first perm agent.
