A fluid cooled photovoltaic module in which a polymeric heat exchanger transfers heat from a photovoltaic module to a circulating fluid. The photovoltaic module is maintained at a cold temperature, which allows increased power output, while heat transferred to the circulating fluid can be used for applications that require heat. The polymer heat exchanger is particularly cost effective; High performance; Readily adaptable to various photovoltaic module types and sizes; Compatible with conventional photovoltaic module balances of systems; Resistant to water sanitizers and other chemicals; Resistant to lime-trace and heat exchanger contamination; Easily transported, assembled, installed and maintained; And to achieve a robust design that leverages high production manufacturing methods. |
