abstract | The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating gout containing an extract of leaves, stems or a mixture thereof of Dendropanax morbifera, or fermentation metabolites thereof as an active ingredient. According to the present invention, the composition has high bioavailability and an effect of reducing uric acid in blood by comprising an extract or fermentation metabolites of Dendropanax morbifera, thereby inhibiting formation of uric acid and smoothly performing discharging functions. Accordingly, the composition can be used for preventing, retarding and/or treating gout. |
