The present invention relates to a method for screening an effective material for treating and preventing complex metabolic diseases accompanying diabetes and obesity, from functional materials derived from natural materials. More specifically, the present invention relates to a method for screening, from functional materials derived from natural materials, a natural extract or a separated material which is effective in treating and preventing complex metabolic diseases and is capable of satisfying three mechanisms: secretion of glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) is increased; activity of dipeptidyl peptidase-IV (DPP-IV) is inhibited; and differentiation from preadipocytes to adipocytes is inhibited. |
