It is an object of the present invention to provide a zirconia sintered body suitable as a front teeth denture having esthetics and strength equivalent to those of natural front teeth. Furthermore, it is an object of the present invention to provide a zirconia sintered body showing a color tone equivalent to that of various natural teeth and having a similar aesthetic as that of the natural front teeth. Of yttria, not more than 4.0 mol%, not more than 0.25 mol% of iron, less than 2000 ppm in terms of Fe 2 O 3 , less than 0.01 wt% of cobalt oxide in terms of CoO, and less than 0.1 wt% of alumina Zirconia, and has a relative density of 99.90% or more, a total light transmittance with respect to light of 600 nm wavelength at a sample thickness of 1.0 mm of not less than 25% and less than 40%, and a strength of not less than 500 MPa Zirconia sintered body. |
